Holmes Hall, University of Kentucky
The majority of the trumpet institute will be held at Holmes Hall, University of Kentucky's
state-of-the-art fine arts dorm that opened in Fall 2016. For participants who choose the room and board option, housing will be in Holmes Hall. Established in 2017
Since June 2017, trumpet players from the United States and beyond have come to Lexington, KY to participate in the UK Summer Trumpet Institute. Students at the UKSTI include college-level players, high school students, recent graduates, community members, and professionals in our field.
In 2018, a Junior Camp was created exclusively for middle school trumpet players (6th-8th grade) and we have been excited to continue this element of the institute each year. Previous Faculty
